Terms of Use

Last updated 13 October 2026. These are the same terms you accept in the app when you create an account.

  1. About these terms These Terms of Use are an agreement between you and TallyMate for using the TallyMate app. By creating an account you accept them. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
  2. Who may use TallyMate You must be at least 18 years old, or the legal age to make a contract where you live. If you use TallyMate for a business, you confirm that you may accept these terms for that business.
  3. Your account, password and codes Keep your password and the codes we email you private. Never share a code with anyone; TallyMate will never ask you for it. You are responsible for everything done with your account. If you think someone knows your password, change it at once.
  4. Your entries are your responsibility TallyMate is a tool for keeping your accounts. You are responsible for the accuracy of everything you enter, including sales, payments, stock, prices, discounts and taxes, and for anything you send to customers, such as receipts, reminders and statements. TallyMate does not give accounting, tax or legal advice.
  5. Staff and invited people People you invite act under your account and with the permissions you give them. You are responsible for what they do in the app, for the permissions you choose, and for removing their access when they no longer work with you.
  6. Where your data is kept Your book is kept on your device and in the cloud with Google Firebase, so you can sign in on another device. If you turn on backups, copies are also saved to your own iCloud Drive, Google Drive or OneDrive, or a folder you choose. An internet connection is needed to sign in and to sync. What you record belongs to you, and we do not sell it.
  7. Keep your own backups No system is perfect. Make your own backups regularly and keep a copy somewhere safe. We are not responsible for data lost through a device fault, deleted files, a forgotten password or a problem with another company's service.
  8. Messages to your customers Receipts, reminders and other messages are sent from your own WhatsApp, SMS or email apps and accounts, not by TallyMate. You must have your customers' permission to contact them, and you must follow the rules of those services and the law.
  9. Payment details on receipts Bank accounts, QR codes and other payment details you show on receipts are your own. You are responsible for keeping them correct and for any money paid to them. TallyMate does not receive or hold payments.
  10. Acceptable use Do not use TallyMate for anything illegal, for fraud, for false or misleading records, or to avoid paying tax. Do not try to break into, copy or overload the app or its services. We may suspend or close accounts that do.
  11. No guarantee of uptime We work to keep TallyMate running, but we cannot promise that the app, the cloud or syncing will always be available, fast or free of errors. Updates, maintenance and other companies' services may interrupt it.
  12. Provided “as is” TallyMate is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. To the extent allowed by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, lost data or business interruption that come from using the app or not being able to use it.
  13. Ending use and deleting data You can stop using TallyMate at any time. Records you delete go to the Trash and are removed for good after 40 days. To delete your whole account and its cloud data, use Delete my account in the app's settings, or contact support. Copies in your own backups stay until you delete them.
  14. Changes to these terms We may update these terms as the app changes. If something important changes, we will tell you in the app and may ask you to accept the new terms. If you keep using TallyMate, you accept the updated terms.
  15. Contact Questions about these terms or your account: support@tallymateapp.com

How we handle personal data is explained in the Privacy Policy.
